Description Of Frozen Values, Power Operated Boot Lid Module (POT)

Description of frozen values, Power Operated Boot lid Module (POT)

Hint: When the control module detects a fault and stores the DTC, a number of parameters and their current values are stored in the control module's memory. These can be useful for example to troubleshoot as they give a good insight into the current conditions of and around the vehicle on which the fault was detected
The parameters can be divided into global and local parameters. The global parameters are always saved, regardless of which control module has stored the DTC. The local parameters are control module unique parameters and the storing of local parameters therefore depends on which the control module has stored the DTC.

Hint: Some of the parameters are dependent on a certain version of vehicle and are therefore not always available.

Parameters

Global parameters
Description of global parameters Description Of Global Parameters, Power Operated Boot Lid Module (POT)

Battery voltage, POT
Shows the voltage that the Power Operated Boot lid Module (POT) was supplied with when the DTC was stored.

Motor boot lid opening, status
Indicates if the boot lid's opening motor was in the opening phase, closing phase or inactive when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.
Also indicates the current strength through the motor when the DTC was stored.

Motor closing, status
Indicates if the motor that draws the boot lid in last when closing was in closing phase, reversing or inactive when the DTC was stored.

External handle
The value indicates if the opening handle on the tailgate was pressed in or released when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.

Close button, tailgate
The value indicates if the closing button on the tailgate was pressed in or released when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.

Sensor motor closure, boot lid
The parameter shows the value on the sensor that determines whether the boot lid has finished reversing or not, at the time the DTC was stored. If the value is "active" the motor has finished reversing, otherwise the value is "not active".

Sensor 1 (inner lock position)
The parameter shows which position the boot lid was in when the DTC was stored. If the boot lid was fully closed, the parameter value is "active", otherwise "not active".

Sensor 2 (outer lock position)
The parameter shows which position the boot lid was in when the DTC was stored. If the boot lid was fully closed or in the outer lock position, the parameter value is "active", otherwise "not active".

Lighting, load compartment
Active: LED in the cargo compartment lighting was on, or signal from lighting switch in the lock unit was short-circuited to ground.
Not active: LED in the cargo compartment lighting was off, or open-circuit on signal from lighting switch in the lock unit.

Hall sensors
The parameters show the status of the hall sensors when the DTC was stored. The status indicates whether the sensors had an open-circuit or short-circuit to ground, and whether there was a power supply or not.
