INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.
Towbar, control module TRM
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
Note! Wait at least one minute before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
Use: Isopropanol, P/N 116172
- Wipe dry.

- Wipe dry.
When installing Velcro tape the surface must maintain a temperature of at least +20 ° C (68°F).
- Press the control module into place.

Applies to cars with model year from and including 2013-
- Locate the connectors in the car's wiring harness.
- Connect the located connectors.
Applies to cars with model year up to and including -2012
- Fold aside the insulation.
- Locate the connectors.
- Connect the extension cable to the located connector.
- Route the extension cable following the existing cable harness.
- Route the extension cable following the existing cable harness.
Use cable ties to secure any excess.
- Connect the connectors from the extension wiring to the control module.
Applies to all models
- Press in the catches on the black cover on the fuse holder and remove it.
- Install the 40A fuse in position FA 11 in module RJB-A.
- Reinstall the cover.
- Reinstall the detached components in reverse order.
- Download the software (application) for the accessory's function.
