Digital radio DAB































INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Note! Some steps in these installation instructions are presented with illustration only.





- Turn the ignition key to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.











Applies to cars with subwoofer




- Remove the rear plastic nuts for the subwoofer.
- Fold the backrest forward.





- Disconnect the connectors from the subwoofer.
- Remove the screw from the right-hand mounting.





- Remove the screw from the left-hand mounting.







Applies to all models









- Take the adapter cable marked A from the kit and connect the large connector to the receiver.
- Secure the loose connectors with their clips in the holes respectively edges in the bracket.





- Install the DAB unit with bracket on the reverse of the rear backrest.
- Install the screws and tighten to 10 Nm (7.5 lbf.ft.).





- Connect the wiring for the power supply, fibre-optics and the two antenna cables to the receiver. They are located near to the location for the bracket.

Applies to cars with subwoofer
- If the car has a subwoofer a fibre optic adapter cable must be used to connect the units. See step 15.

- Take the fibre optic adapter cable marked B from the kit and connect the male connector (1) to the fibre optic cable, which was disconnected from the subwoofer, to the female connector (2) on the adapter cable.
- Connect the remaining connectors on the fiber optic cables for the subwoofer and DAB unit.
- Connect the remaining connector that was disconnected from the subwoofer. Ensure that the cables are positioned so that they are not at risk of being cut off.
