Vehicles with Volvo On Call




Remove the panel.




Disconnect any connector(s).




Remove the weatherstrip.





Caution! The front and upper sill panel must be removed and installed as one unit.








Remove the panel.








Remove the panel.




Fold the carpet to the side.




Locate the existing connectors in the vehicle's cable harness.

Alternative 1




Locate the pre-routed connector.





Alternative 2




Locate the pre-routed connector.








Disconnect the connector.




Attach the connector to the wiring harness.
The cable harness must not be reused.

Accessory installation




Install component that comes with the accessory kit.
Connect the cable harness terminals in the connector as follows.
A click confirms that the component is in the correct position.
Depress the locking device.




Connect the connector.
Route the cable harness to the existing cable harness.
Attach the wiring, using clips.




Install component that comes with the accessory kit.
Connect the cable harness terminals in the connector as follows.
A click confirms that the component is in the correct position.
Depress the locking device.




Place any excess inside the floor carpet.





Caution! Make sure to locate the wiring in such a way that any damage caused by heat or excessive wear is avoided.

Pull the wiring through.




Route the cable harness to the existing cable harness.

Removal

Vehicles with 5 inch ICM-display












Remove the screws.








Disconnect the connector.




Remove the screw.




Fold the carpet to the side.
Remove the screw.




Fold the carpet to the side.
Remove the screw.




Detach the panel.




Remove the screws.




Remove the panel.





Note! The number of connectors may vary depending on the vehicle's equipment level.

Disconnect the connectors.








Locate the pre-routed connector.
Remove the foam bag.

Accessory installation








Connect the connectors.
Install component that comes with the accessory kit.








Reinstall the screws.

All vehicles





Note! The number of connectors may vary depending on the vehicle's equipment level.

Locate the existing connectors in the vehicle's cable harness.
Remove the foam bags.




Install component that comes with the accessory kit.
Connect the connectors.





Installation

Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order.




Reinstall the battery's negative cable.





Warning! When switching the ignition on first time after a battery disconnect and connect, stand outside the vehicle and reach into the vehicle keeping clear of the air bags operating areas.
