Navigation system, portable, installation kit TMC























INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Note! Some steps in these installation instructions are presented with illustration only.These installation instructions apply to left-hand drive vehicles. When installing in a right-hand drive vehicle, the procedure is carried out on the opposite side and/or mirrored. Where the version differs, right-hand versions are also displayed with text and images.Applies to cars where Navigation system portable and Navigation system, portable, installation kit TMC are all installed:First carry out points 39-57 and 60-69 from the Navigation system, portable installation instructions. Then perform points 13-20 from these installation instructions. Finally carry out points 73-74 from the Navigation system, portable installation instructions.

- Set the ignition key to position 0.

Note! Wait at least one minute before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.














- Remove the marked components.





- Remove the screws.





- Remove the marked components.
- Unplug the connector.





- Remove the cable tie.





- Remove the foam tape.





- Unplug the connectors.





- Remove the rubber strip.





- Remove the screw.

- Remove the panel and carefully pull up the cable harness.









- Tape the antenna cable at the holder's cable using suitable tape.





- Place the excess cable along the panel and bond.

- Push the cable harness with the antenna cable down into the dashboard, and pull forward.
Use tension spring P/N 9512932.

- Reinstall the panel.









- Take the TMC unit and connect the connectors.
- The thin antenna cable is connected to "IN" on the TMC unit.





- Remove the protective tape and foam connectors and TMC unit.

Note! Make the unit as thin as possible.





- Distribute the excess cable at the existing cable harness and secure the foamed parts at the same place. Ensure that the foamed package is as thin as possible as not to obstruct the combined instrument panel.

Reinstall the detached components in reverse order.
