Checking Noise From Optional Equipment.

Checking noise from optional equipment.

Self-test

Note! This symptom troubleshooting only applies to the, for customer, hidden input AUX 2 on Integrated Audio Module (IAM).

Integrated Audio Module (IAM) diagnostic test for AUX 2 can only detect faults when something is connected to it. Therefore the diagnostic test is only run when a self-test of the input AUX 2 has been started. A fault code is set if the self-test detects a fault. To start self-test and check fault codes belonging to the input AUX 2, proceed as follows:
Check that any optional equipment is connected to input AUX 2 on the Integrated Audio Module (IAM).
For example:
- Option Bluetooth system.
- Optional rear seat entertainment.
Click on the VCT2000 symbol to start self-test of the control module.

Note! The check procedure may only be run if something is connected to input AUX 2 on the Integrated Audio Module (IAM).

Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/DETAILS and click on Update to perform a new fault code read-out.
Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/TROUBLESHOOT and check if fault codes belonging to input AUX 2 have been set.
Fault-trace according to diagnostic trouble code (DTC) instructions.
