USB/iPod Music Player























INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Note! These installation instructions show installation on left-hand drive cars.For installation on right-hand drive cars, carry out the procedures on the opposite side and/or mirrored.Where the operations differ, a right-hand side version is also displayed with text and image.






Caution! Wait at least three minutes before disassembling the connector or removing other electrical equipment.










- Fold the carpet to one side.





1. Detach the clip.
2. Unplug the connector.





1. Unhook the clip.
2. Unplug the connector.

- CD panel removal

- Release the hooks using a screwdriver.

Note! One side at a time.

- Press the panel out.















Note! The screws may be difficult to access.

1. Release the shift-lock function.
2. Move the gear selector to position "D".

- Route the cable harness (D) from the media player's location and down to the right-hand side of the centre console.





- Connect cable harness (D) to the connectors that were disconnected from the media player.


















- Bend the mountings in on the control module.





- Remove the masking tape.


























- Fold the carpet to one side.





- Place the adapter high up on the cowl panel and right-hand side of the centre console.
- Fold back the carpet

Caution! Do not damage the fibre optic cable.

- Remove the panel by pulling it backwards and upwards at an angle.





- Route the cable harness (E) backwards under the floor mat and inside the tunnel console.





1. Lift the tunnel console slightly at the rear edge.
2. Route the cable harness (B) backwards and inside the tunnel console.





- Lift the tunnel console slightly at the rear edge and route the cable to the storage compartment.





- Applies to USB(E1) or iPod(E2)





- Applies to USB(E1).





- Applies to iPod(E2).





- Applies to USB(E1) or iPod(E2).





- Applies to iPod and USB(E3).





- Applies to iPod and USB(E3)

- Thread the rubber mat onto the cable and reinstall the mat.






Caution! Position the cable tie where the image shows.





- Place any excess under the rubber mat.





- Reinstall the detached components in reverse order.
- Download the software for the accessory's function.
