Checking the wiring and terminals








- Ignition off, wait for 15 seconds.
If only one of SRS-U300716/SRS-U300717 is generated:
- Start by fault tracing the power supply cable between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and engine compartment fuse box for short circuit and open circuit.
If the fault persists:
- Check the battery voltage.
- Check the charging function of the generator (GEN).
Disconnect the connector for Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
- Check voltage feed and ground connection for Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Remedy as necessary.

Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.

Verification

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.




- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
Read diagnostic trouble codes by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been remedied.
