Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PSCM-U300362
Condition
Note! This trouble code is only relevant for troubleshooting and action in the following cases:
- The trouble code is active in the present driving cycle and has been active for a longer period of time.
- The customer experiences malfunction that can be attributed to the trouble code.
The Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) checks its own system voltage by comparing the DC voltage to the system voltage in the Central electronic module (CEM). Information about system voltage in the Central electronic module (CEM) is transmitted via the controller area network (CAN) to the Power Steering Control module (PSCM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The system voltage differs by more than 2.0 V.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 15 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable.
- The voltage feed cable is short-circuited to voltage.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals or connections.
Fault symptom[s]
- None.
