Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-U1A0083

Condition
The supplemental restraint system (SRS) checks the communication with the Occupant Weight Sensor (OWS) and Closing velocity module (CVM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Incorrect communication.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 2.5 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the control area network (CAN) wiring.
