Condition
The control module is continually supplied with necessary information from the Trailer module (TRM) via CAN communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Trailer module (TRM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No communication with the Trailer module (TRM).
- The transmitting control module indicates a lower quality level of information (the signal) than what the Parking Assistance Module (PAM) accepts.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
