Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information FSM-U041768
Condition
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status is an event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC). An event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC) does not mean that there is a fault in the control module when it is active, but is designed as information.
The control module is continually supplied with necessary information from the Park Brake Module (PBM) via CAN communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Park Brake Module (PBM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Transmitting control module indicates a lower quality level of the information than what Forward Sensing Module (FSM) accepts.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
- Control module supplied with power.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Fault-trace the Park Brake Module (PBM).
