Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-U03004A

Condition
The four-wheel drive control module (DEM) controls the hardware version for the four-wheel drive unit (AOC).

Note! A control module from another make of vehicle with a similar four wheel drive system can be incorrectly installed in a Volvo.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The wrong version of the hardware is used for the software in the vehicle.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disconnected while the fault exists.
