Checking the connectors
Check the wiring for the power supply to the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Note! The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) has two power inputs; one directly supplying from the ignition on relay in the integrated relay / fusebox in the engine compartment and one supplying via the central electronic module (CEM).
Check the ground connection between the metal plate on the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the ground terminal in the body.
Check the connectors for loose connections, damaged or bent terminal pins and oxidation.
