Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P2A0168

Condition

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status is an event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC). An event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC) does not mean that there is a fault in the control module when it is active, but is designed as information.

The engine control module (ECM) checks the rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) signal (bank 1). The control module actively regulates between rich and lean fuel / air mixture and registers how well the rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) signal follows these changes.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) is not activated or is activated too slowly.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when:
- Idling with hot engine. The vehicle must have been in motion before idling.
