Check line pressure solenoid SLB1




- Ignition on.
- Activate solenoid SLB1 by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
Read the current through the circuit for solenoid SLB1. The current should oscillate between 100 and 950 mA.
The fault is permanent if the current does not change.
If the current changes, this is an indication that the fault was present previously but is not active at the moment, i.e. an intermittent fault.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Activate solenoid SLB1 by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
Read the current through the circuit for solenoid SLB1. The current should oscillate between 100 and 950 mA.

Checking the components and wiring








- Ignition off.
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the cables for short circuit to voltage.
Take readings between:
- Transmission connector #B21 and the connector for solenoid SLB1 #1.
- Transmission connector #B16 and the connector for solenoid SLB1 #2.
Also check the cables for a short-circuit to each other.

If no fault is found in the wiring or the component replace the control system.

Resetting adaptation

Resetting the adaptation and the counter for "Transmission oil, replace"

Hint: The transmission has torque-regulated, adaptive pressure regulation. The pressure regulator enables the transmission to regulate pressure during each shift to prevent hard shifting. Each shift is assessed by the transmission control module (TCM) and is stored in the internal memory. This makes it possible to compensate for transmission and clutch wear. It is important that the adaptation in the memory is reset so that the transmission works normally after the repair. Because the fluid was changed during the repair, the counter for transmission fluid change must also be reset. If the counter is not reset during draining/replacement, a diagnostic trouble code may be generated under the wrong conditions.

Note! This applies only if the transmission or one of the components in the transmission have been replaced.




- Ignition on.
Click on the VCT2000 symbol to reset the adaptation and counter.
