If engine control module (ECM) detects a deviation between the speed signals from brake control module (BCM) and transmission control module (TCM), the diagnostic trouble code is stored.

Hint: If Engine control module (ECM) has been recharged or if the battery voltage has been interrupted, the brake pedal must be pressed down twice for approx. two seconds to activate the cruise control function.

Substitute value
- Cruise control shuts off.

Possible source

Look for the cause of the malfunction in the brake control module (BCM).
- Incorrect speed signal to transmission control module (TCM).
Look for the cause of the malfunction in the transmission control module (TCM).
- Contact resistance in CAN-connections.
