Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P188941
Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the performance of the oil pressure pump. This is done by using a checksum to guarantee the quality of the information. This check is executed when the control module is initialised, as the checksum of the calibration value for the pump flow is checked in the EEPROM.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- A checksum for information in EEPROM is invalid.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disconnected while the fault exists.
Possible source
- Internal error in differential electronic module (DEM).
- Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
Fault symptom[s]
- MU, 4-wheel/all wheel drive/Does not work
- IV, Text window and warning symbol/Text message
