Condition
Diagnostic socket, brake lamp (BDS) is located by the brake pedal. The switch is affected by the brake pedal's lever during braking. The Central electronic module (CEM) checks the diagnostic socket, brake lamp (BDS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Diagnostic socket, brake lamp (BDS) is active even though the vehicle is locked from the outside. The DTC is first stored after 5 repetitions (unlocked/locked/unlocked) with active fault.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Powered central electronic module (CEM)
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
