Fault-Tracing Information
Fault-tracing
Checking the start inhibitor status
- Ignition on.
- Depress the brake pedal.
- Read off the status of the start inhibitor.
Move the gear selector between the positions P, R, N and D.
In positions P and N, the status must be "Start permitted"; in other positions the status must be "Start not permitted".
The fault is permanent if the function is faulty.
If the function is correct, this is an indication that the fault was present previously but is not active at the moment, i.e. an intermittent fault.
