Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-P080115
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) checks the battery reverse gear lock-out. Central electronic module (CEM) also monitors the voltage on the signal cable.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal cable has an open circuit or is short-circuited to voltage.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The function switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) resets the result.
Possible source
- Open circuit on voltage feed to reverse gear lock-out.
- The signal cable for reverse gear lock-out short-circuited to battery voltage.
Fault symptom[s]
- Not possible to engage reverse gear
