Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-P080111
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) checks the battery reverse gear lock-out. Reverse gear lock-out is to prevent engagement of reverse gear when the vehicle is moving forward through relay activation by central electronic module (CEM). Central electronic module (CEM) also monitors the voltage on the signal cable.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Voltage too low on the signal cable.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Vehicle speed exceeds 25 km/h (15 mph).
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The function (the output) turns off during the driving cycle when fault is detected. The function (the output) switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing trouble codes as well as start of new driving cycle resets the output.
Possible source
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
Fault symptom[s]
- Reverse gear inhibit; No functionality
