Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-P073000

Condition
The transmission control module (TCM) receives a signal about input and output speed from the transmission's two speed sensors. There is a determined ratio for each gear and the signals help calculate the transmission control module (TCM) gear ratio.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Transmission is in mechanical neutral position despite the gear selector being moved to D.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Driving forward (gear position D).
- The engine speed is above 600 rpm.
- Throttle angle open more than 10%.
- Transmission's oil temperature exceeds +0 °C.
- Brake pedal unaffected.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 2 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
