Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P066727
Condition
The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) has two temperature sensors fitted on the control module's circuit board. The sensors provide the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) with information about the temperature in the control module. If the temperature exceeds a preset value all wheel drive is disabled. This is to protect the components from a too high load, which can result in internal mechanical faults.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Both the temperature sensors show signs of damage (short-circuit or open-circuit) for at least 3 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Four-wheel drive is disengaged during the time the fault exists, and is disengaged a further 30 seconds after the fault has disappeared.
Possible source
- Damaged temperature sensor in the control module.
- Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
Fault symptom[s]
- MU, 4-wheel/all wheel drive/Does not work
- IV, Text window and warning symbol/Text message
