Calibration of differential electronic module (DEM)

Calibration of differential electronic module (DEM)

Calibration of differential electronic module (DEM)
This service is used to carry out calibration of the four-wheel drive control module (DEM).

Caution! The calibration service is a power-hungry procedure, and so it is important for a battery charger with sufficient charging capacity to be connected to the vehicle so that it can be powered sufficiently. The power supply is important so as to ensure the reliability of the calibration.

Calibration of differential electronic module (DEM)
1. Switch off the engine.
2. Make sure that the battery charger is connected to the vehicle.
3. Engine running.
4. Click on the VCT2000 symbol for calibration.

Note! A buzzing noise can be heard when calibrating the control module. This is normal behavior.

- Wait 1 minute.
- Start the engine.
- Click the symbol for VCT2000 to begin reading off.
- Read off the diagnostic status and the fault status for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
- Check that the diagnosis is Performed.

Note! To enable performing diagnostic status, special conditions must be fulfilled. These conditions are described in diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information for each diagnostic trouble code (DTC).

If the function is correct, the fault status must be No fault found when the diagnostic is complete.
