Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P060300
Condition
The four-wheel drive control module (DEM) monitors its internal functions. The EEPROM in the control module stores diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters and frozen values.
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects:
- Internal error on the module's EEPROM function.
- Incorrect software in Differential electronic module (DEM).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disconnected while the fault exists.
Possible source
- Internal error in differential electronic module (DEM).
- Incorrect software in Differential electronic module (DEM).
- Damaged memory element in four-wheel drive control module (DEM).
- Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
