Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information






Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P052568

Condition
Engine control module (ECM) checks that it has access to necessary data for the cruise control function.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Necessary information from steering wheel buttons to cruise control missing.
- The vehicle has too high acceleration at start from low speed.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Try to activate the cruise control.
- Cruise control active.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.

Possible source
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).
- Look for the cause of the fault in the brake control module (BCM).
- Short-circuit between the control area network (CAN) wiring.
- Loose connections or contact resistance in connections to CAN-net.
