Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PSCM-C200000
Condition
Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) monitors the control module's internal temperature.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The temperature is too high.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 1 second.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Restriction of power to the pump motor.
Possible source
- High outside temperature or engine compartment temperature combined with "hard driving".
- Mechanical or hydraulic fault in the power steering system (example: steering gear, hoses or pipes blocked).
- Damaged Power Steering Control Module (PSCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- No or poor steering assistance
