Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-C1A6086
Condition
Note! Due to technical causes, the sensor's positions cannot be determined despite it is indicated by the trouble code name. This means that the diagnostic trouble code may apply to any of the four sensors. Which sensor has caused the diagnostic trouble code to be stored has to be determined using diagnostics read-out and special tools.
Central electronic module (CEM) receives signals from tire pressure sensors in the wheels via the remote receiver. The messages sent out by the sensors contain the air pressure for each tire, the sensor's ID-number and the voltage for the sensor's internal battery. The sensors are activated when the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h (12 mph).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Messages have been received from a sensor but the signal strength has become too weak or the signal cannot be interpreted correctly.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h (12 mph) for more than 10 minutes, accumulated time.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Internal fault in the tire pressure sensor.
- Internal fault in Remote Keyless Entry (RKE).
- Low battery voltage in tire pressure sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- Text window and warning symbol/Text message
