Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information POT-C101767

Condition
Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks that sensor 1 (inner lock position) changes status when opening the tailgate, and that the sensor has correct status at closing.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Sensor 1 (inner lock position) remains active during opening of tailgate.
- Sensor 1 (inner lock position) is active during closing of tailgate.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Opening of tailgate.
- Closing of tailgate.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Signal line from sensor 1 (inner lock position) is short-circuited to ground.
- Detach the wires or connector from in the tailgate lock unit.
- Damaged lock unit tailgate.
