Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The yaw rate sensor, lateral acceleration sensor and acceleration sensor are integrated in the body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC). The sensors measure the yaw rate, the vehicle's lateral acceleration and forward acceleration. The stability sensor then transmits the information to the Brake control module (BCM) via the internal controller area network (CAN).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The sensor's signal is outside a predefined value.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Traction control (TC) blocked.
- Stability control (SC) blocked.
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked.

Hint: Brake system, abbreviations Brake System, Abbreviations

Possible source
- Internal fault in the body sensor cluster (BSC).

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- Anti-spin warning lamp lit
- Stability function is not working
- Traction control not working
- Anti skid function is not working
