Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C004801

Condition
The pedal position sensor is mounted in the brake booster and is affected by the brake pedal's push rod. The brake pedal position sensor transmits a signal to the brake control module (BCM) about the position of the brake pedal and the speed at which it is pressed. The sensor is supplied with 5 V.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal voltage is above 4.85 V.
- Signal voltage is below 0.15 V.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
