Checking the wiring and terminals








- Ignition off, wait for 15 seconds.
- Disconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag switch.
- Disconnect the connector for Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Check the connectors and terminals for airbag switch and control module for damage to pins and terminals. Also check the other connectors and terminals that join the cables between the control module and the airbag switch.
Remedy as necessary.
Check the connections between the control module and airbag switch visually and for contact resistance and oxidation.
Remedy as necessary.
Check the cable between the control module and the connector to airbag switch for open circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.




- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
Read diagnostic trouble codes by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been remedied.
