Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B1C5512
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) checks the horn.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal on the drive circuit to the relay for the horn is too high.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activation of the horn.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The function (the output) turns off during the driving cycle when fault is detected. The function (the output) switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing trouble codes as well as start of new driving cycle resets the output.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the relay driver circuit.
Fault symptom[s]
- Horn operates continuously
