Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information






Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-B1A5587

Condition
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No message regarding status of the collision signal.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the control area network (CAN) wiring.
- Open-circuit in the control area network (CAN).
- Short-circuit in connections.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Damaged central electronic module (CEM).

- SRS warning light on
- SRS warning message displayed
