Condition
Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks if any signal comes from the Hall sensor to the right motor tailgate opening/closing at automatic operation of the tailgate.
The diagnostic trouble code is stored if the control module detects:
- Hall pulse after an opening or closing phase has begun.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Automatic operation of the tailgate.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Signal cable from the hall sensor has a short-circuit to ground.
- Open circuit on the signal cable from the hall sensor.
- Damaged hall sensor.
- Operation of tailgate blocked mechanically.
- Damaged motor tailgate opening.
