Condition
Note! Only on vehicles with the function automatic start/stop of engine.
Central electronic module (CEM) checks the voltage from the secondary battery.
The diagnostic trouble code is stored if the control module detects:
- Voltage from the secondary battery falls below 6 V.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 6 seconds.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Damaged power supply fuse.
- Open circuit on cable for voltage supply from secondary battery.
- Open circuit on secondary battery's ground cable.
- Poorly charged battery or corroded connecting cables.
- Damaged battery.
