Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-B11D487
Condition
The main task of the Closing velocity module (CVM) is to prevent or reduce collision damage at low speeds. The system is included in the City Safety function. The Closing velocity module (CVM) can request speed reducing actions by sending a specific request to other control units via the CAN network. The request about torque limiting can be sent to the Engine control module (ECM).
The Central electronic module (CEM) monitors the function's component parts and distributes a signal via the CAN network, which can permit or block the request for the speed reducing action.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signals to allow/block speed reducing actions from the Central electronic module (CEM) are lost.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running for at least 3 seconds.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
