Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B112A12

Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) checks activation of a distribution relay for 15-feed. Relay activated at ignition on.
For vehicle with structure week -200945 the relay is located in the rear fuse panel in the luggage compartment. For vehicle with structure week 200946- the relay is located in the fuse panel in the passenger compartment, beside central electronic module(CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The output to the relay winding is short-circuited to voltage.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The function (the output) turns off during the driving cycle when fault is detected. The function (the output) switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing trouble codes as well as start of new driving cycle resets the output.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable.
