Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B10F311

Condition
The Central electronic module (CEM) powers the front left-hand parking lamps directly via an output.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activated lamp.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The function (the output) turns off during the driving cycle when fault is detected. The function (the output) switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing trouble codes as well as start of new driving cycle resets the output.

Possible source

Hint: On XC60 before structure week 200946 front running lights and side running lights, on the same side of the vehicle, are supplied with voltage from a common output on the Central electronic module (CEM). If the bulb for the side marker lamp is damaged, this is detected by the Central electronic module (CEM), which in some cases, depending on voltage level, switches off the output so that the parking light goes out and stores the DTC.

- Damaged side running light front.
- Defective running light front.
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable.
