Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-B102486

Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) has the overall function for monitoring the signals from ignition antenna unit (IAU).
Engine control module (ECM) receives the start signal partly from a directly connected cable from the start button, as well as from Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN-communication.
Engine control module (ECM) checks so that the signal from Central electronic module (CEM) is reliable.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The quality of the signal coming via CAN is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Start of engine.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The signal on the direct-connected cable to Engine control module (ECM) is used.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the communication cable.
- Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Open-circuit in terminals.
- Short-circuit in connections.

Fault symptom[s]
- Autostart; No Functionality
