Fault-tracing

Checking video signal
Troubleshoot connector #C3 on Parking Assistance Camera (PAC) for loose connection or oxidation.
Fault trace the signal cable to the front display screen with regard to contact resistance and oxidation.
Check-measure #C3-1 on Parking Assistance Camera (PAC). The value shall vary between 0 - 1 V.
If no defects were found on connectors, connections, or cables, and check-measurements show normal values, change Parking Assistance Camera (PAC).

Verification
Access to the vehicle is necessary for the following checks.
- Activate parking camera in the menu.
- Activate distance information in the menu.
- Ignition position II or engine running.
- Engage reverse gear.
Check that:
- An image of what is behind the vehicle is shown on the front display screen.
- Help lines change when the steering wheel is turned.
- Help lines are shown for the vehicle's lateral position as well as bars for any objects behind the vehicle.

Is the function OK?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED

The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed.
Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
