Contact reel driver module, resetting

Preparations





Remove:
- battery cable. See Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting
- the steering wheel according to Steering wheel, replacing Removal and Replacement.

Release contact reel




Remove one screw (Torx 20).




Turn the contact reel counter-clockwise to the end-position.




Turn the contact reel clockwise two complete revolutions. Then turn clockwise until the screw hole is in position "one o'clock" as shown.

Note! On later car models, the yellow marking must also be visible in the window.

Secure contact reel




Install the screw when the contact reel is in its lock position.
The contact reel is now reset and locked (secured).

Installation

Install:
- the steering wheel according to Steering wheel, replacing Removal and Replacement
- the battery cable according to Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.
