DESCRIPTION:
Vibration in steering wheel and/or booming noise heard when sitting in the rear seat may occur during idling.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
An oscillation damper for the steering wheel and new Engine Control Module (ECM) software has been developed to be used as service solution for steering wheel vibrations. For reduction of noise in rear seat, see instruction.

SERVICE:
If the customer complaint/symptom is confirmed, do as follows:
Perform actions according to attached repair instruction to reduce the noise level.
Install oscillation damper in the steering wheel according to VIDA (part number 31390240 for 3-spoke steering wheel or part number 31390241 for 4-spoke steering wheel). Follow the Removal, Replacement, and Installation for 64: Steering wheel. Also perform an ECM upgrade according to VIDA.
All steps need to be done to solve the problem.
