Hint: The diagnostic trouble code can be stored during software download and just needs to be erased.

Note! Only erase the diagnostic trouble code if it was stored during software download.




- Ignition on
Erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).





Continue - Sensor calibration

- Ignition on
- Calibrate the brake control module (BCM).

Note! When calibrating, the vehicle should be parked on a flat surface and the brake pedal must not be touched.The accelerometer can only be calibrated on vehicles with AWD.

Caution! For model XC90, the yaw sensor and inclination sensor should also be calibrated.

Reading off diagnostic trouble code status




- Ignition on
- Wait approximately 60 seconds.
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
If the status of the diagnostic trouble code has changed from permanent to intermittent, the malfunction is no longer active.
If the diagnostic trouble code has a permanent status, try a new AYC sensor.

Other information
- Active yaw control sensor, replacing Service and Repair





Is the status of the diagnostic trouble code intermittent?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Verification

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the malfunction has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, components, etc.
- Test-drive the vehicle according to Test Drive Form (DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) /brake control module), description Test Drive Form (DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control) /Brake Control Module), Description.

Note! Do not turn off the ignition between test-driving and reading out diagnostic trouble codes. This is to obtain the correct status of the diagnostic trouble codes.

Then read out the diagnostic trouble code's status without turning off the ignition after the test-drive.





Is the status of the diagnostic trouble code intermittent?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
