Information on SW version 8BC9 introduced in 11w48 release of Map upgrade disc

DESCRIPTION:
The RTI navigation screen may become/remain black at start-up. Vehicles with PAC (Parking Assistance Camera) may have a correctly shown rear camera view in reverse gear, but no navigation view when changing to forward driving gears.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
New software for the MMM2 (8BC9) has been introduced in the latest version (11w48) of the Map upgrade disc. There will not be a service disc released with this SW version.

REPORTING:
Yes, please contact your local help desk if the fault persists after software update.

Please describe the symptom as detailed as possible with any present DTC's listed in the vehicle.

Also submit the information from the "about" screen in the system menu.

SERVICE:
Please do not replace any components. Update the MMM2 unit with the latest Map Upgrade disc or contact the technical help desk for assistance in sourcing the SW.

Note:
Registered Map Care customers will automatically receive this update disc. For Non Map Care customers who do not wish to purchase a Map upgrade disc set, please contact your local technical help desk for assistance.
