PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
A new strut introduced from June 2011 has a 25 mm diameter damper rod; the earlier struts have a 22 mm diameter.

SERVICE:
If installing a new strut in an older car, then both sides have to be replaced. The spring aids (bump stops) will also have to be replaced to match the larger diameter.
