Alcohol Analyzing Start Inhibitor - Bypass

Bypass
It is possible to start the vehicle by bypassing the Alcohol Analyzing Start Inhibitor function, so called BYPASS. An internal counter in the Central electronic module (CEM) stores the number of times the system has been bypassed. When the counter reaches a maximum of 255, it does not reset automatically and will not increase in the event of further bypasses. If the counter is greater than zero (0), a message appears stating that the Alcohol Analyzing Start Inhibitor Bypass has been activated in the Driver information module (DIM) each time the vehicle is started.
The counter can be reset in VIDA under DIAGNOSTICS/VEHICLE COMMUNICATION. There you will find a parameter list that continuously logs the last five events.
For more information about bypassing the alcolock, see the owner's manual.
