DESCRIPTION:

When the Sensus infotainment system starts, the IAM2.1 should report all its internal functions to the ICM. If the IAM2.1 enters a state called "ALLBYPASS" at start up, none of the IAM functions will work. IAM ALLBYPASS is caused by flickering MOST light being sent from the AUD. When the IAM ALLBYPASS fault occurs, the customer will not be able to start any IAM related applications such as AM/FM radio, CD, ipod or Bluetooth. If the car is equipped with navigation, the screen will be stuck at "loading" if started.

The IAM ALLBYPASS fault will only occur during start up A DTC will be set by the ICM.

If the car is equipped with Sirius-radio it will be fully functional as it is a separate unit on the MOST net. Also the climate pop-up functions will work.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

A HW change was introduced with running change into production from structure week 201148.

SERVICE:

The following criteria must be fulfilled for the fault to be classified as an IAM a//bypass:

Criteria for visual diagnostics

- The fault appeared immediately after starting the car and NOT during driving.

- One of the following views are seen on the screen: Motherview.jpg, Climate row.jpg, see attachments for reference.

- All IAM applications such as AM/FM, CD, ipod, Telephone, etc are inoperative. If Navigation is selected, the screen will be stuck at "loading".

- The climate pop-up functions are working.

- Sirius radio is fully functional

- The fault is still present after ignition is cycled off/on

Criteria for VIDA diagnostics
- DTC ICM-U018400 (Lost Communication With Audio module) is set.
- MOST lock OK.
If the above criteria are fulfilled, start by downloading the IAM ALLBYPASS FIX.
For S80, V70 and XC7O download S/P 31374041
For S60 and XC6O download S/P 31374042

After the IAM ALLbyPass fix is performed, an IAM reload must also be performed.

All settings will be re-set to factory default.
