DESCRIPTION:
The customer may experience long cranking time and difficulties to start the car after it has been parked overnight. The cause has been found to be the fuel pump losing residual pressure due to a defective "triple-valve" (non-return valve).
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
Fuel pumps with a new, modified, triple valve was introduced in car factory from structure week 2013w05. The part number has not been changed.
PRIOR APPROVAL:
The fuel pumps in 2008- XC70 and 2010- XC60 are on prior approval. Refer to TJ 20532 for this process.
SERVICE:
If customer complaint/symptom is confirmed, replace the fuel pump acc.to the repair instruction in VIDA.
